BCArchive is a freeware compression utility designed to compress files and folders and put them in encrypted archives. So it does not only compress data but also encrypts them. It uses well known and powerful military-approved encrypting algorithms like blowfish, twofish, rijandel etc. There are two encrypting methods: password based encryption and public key encryption. BCarchive sports also windows explorer integration and an option to create self-extracting encrypted archives. There are some other utilities able to encrypt data like well-known Axcrypt but the combination of encryption and compression together sounds even better.
BCArchive is fast, secure and it simply works like a charm. There is also a paid version of the same program but free version does the job perfectly well.
Encrypting files and folders is a very simple process. Just point your mouse over a file you want to encrypt right click it and choose add to. Than simply follow instruction.
