HostedHere.net refuses its service to Kevin Mitnick

Kevin Mitnick, one of the most famous hackers from 90-s, sentenced for 5 years for breaking into security systems and today's self-employed security chief consultant got an unpleasant surprise a few days ago when his website hosting service and mobile operator declared to refuse offering their service to him. The reason! Constant (un)successful attempts from hackers worldwide to break into his mobile phone and website, sometimes even resulting in complete system breakdown of hostedhere.net.

Kevin Mitnick's website
has been constantly under cyber attacks and many times hackers actually broke into his website and left some friendly messages like saying hello. Unfortunately not just good guys hacked his website and sometimes they smashed entire computer infrastructure of his website hosting provider to get access to Kevin's website. Hostedhere.net got tired of being exposed to such inconvenience causing them not just gray hair and a lot of computer maintenance on their servers but also additional unnecessary expanses.

Unfortunate Kevin seems to be once more a victim of his "dark" history of a famous hacker, although today his work involves securing computer systems from network attacks he once performed.

@POker
True. You can not outrun the past. Sad though.

You know, people often say that the thing a hacker fears the most is another hacker. Which is why lots of hackers nowadays are reportedly as paranoid as to secure their own network & PC with tons of protective scripts (even with these, some hackers are still able to neutralize them all).

In other words, black hackers are and will always be afraid of getting a taste of their own medicine when they are the ones who raid other people's PC, intrude their privacy and sabotage their money. Cowardly, i must say, but as Thomas said, tragic as well.

Kevin is a real cool guy. We've been successfully hosting him now for over a month. Make no mistake, he still has a ton of hack attempts on his server and site which is amazing.

We see this activity every day with our customers but I assure you, he's getting the most.

Do you hear that guys. Kevin is now on firehost.com so if you are in the market for hosting provider, you may look up to Kevin and choose what he did. After all firehost seems to be a good choice to me. I may even pick you up Chris....

There's a saying that "Don't do to others,what you don't want others do unto you". Well, everything pays out, he's past still hunts him.
