Free Mozilla Sunbird & Lightning calendar application
Sunbird is free calendar application for managing and writing down your tasks, todo's and remarks instead of trying to learn them all by heart. It has been developed and maintained by Mozilla community, works on all major systems and can be installed in two different forms; as a full standalone calendar application or integration with existing Mozilla Thunderbird in form of add-on called Lightning.
Graphical interface is pleasant-looking with different view options and actually reminds a little of Thunderbird, naturally. All standard features are present such as alarm reminders, different view options, import/export, category markers and date/time setup. If this was all Sunbird offered, it would not make a difference using a standard Windows calendar, so naturally Sunbird does not stop there. Therefore you shall find in Sunbird a few cool advanced features as well such as creating private encrypted tasks/events which can be viewed by proper password only, converting tasks and events to e-mail messages, master password option and even proxy settings.
